Crnr2Crnr Posted October 3 Posted October 3 shoveled this much road base today and get to do the other side of the two track tomorrow. pretty sure I earned a few adult beverages... I'm whipped. 2 Quote

Bobcat... 2457 max per load and the place is 24 miles away, lot of trips. I didn't add up today's shovel weight yet but I'm exhausted. Brandy old fashioned, Tylenol and a fish fry should cure me. sorry for the big photo dump but we're sitting in a bar and not in the mood to pick and choose, nor do I have my reading glasses. 1 Quote
Crnr2Crnr Posted October 5 Posted October 5 oh, left this in the driveway entrance so big sis didn't try to come down the hill while I was compacting... she laughed her ass off. Quote
ckf Posted October 5 Author Posted October 5 We spent the day out getting pictures. I've only looked at a few so far. Newark, Vermont. 1 Quote

How often do you get to do that?? every fall I tackle a couple hundred yards, and it's about a quarter mile long... waiting for the temp to get above 50 and I'm going to take the boat out and get some foliage shots of the lake, and blow a bajillion pine needles off the roof and yard. it's nice and cozy next to the fireplace. 1 Quote

Crnr2Crnr Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Just now, Mag6240 said: You don’t ever sled out of there? nope... it's a late spring to early fall place. in other words, not well insulated and built in the 30's and added on to in the 50's. well, pump, bathroom and dining room were added in the 80's with a crawl space. it was an outhouse and hand pump until then. we've converted the fireplace to LP and have some electric baseboard heaters but most of its on a slab so we have to be here quite a while to get it warmed up. Crnr2Crnr Posted October 5 Posted October 5 definitely better pictures with the early morning or evening light but went for a windy boat ride around the lake anyway... quite a few leaves down in the driveway and road today. fall is here 3 Quote
Crnr2Crnr Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) good morning... packing up and heading home this morning as the temps dropped and it's windy a.f. finally got a good dousing of rain last night so I packed down the fresh road base on the hill with the truck and it looks good. since I remembered... here's a few pics of the bat houses and the bat nursery we had discussed @ActionfigureJoe and a few randoms Edited October 6 by Crnr2Crnr 2 Quote

I forgot about Cranberry festival in ER... looked busy. I bet a drive up to Carey Dam and back on 55 will be nice if you are staying up for a while. 1 Quote
