NYC billion dollar mall is shutting down due to theft.

It seems some properly placed security guards with weapons could negate most of this…… if they were actually allowed to. This mentality of standing back and letting them do it is rather backwards.

The developer chose a horrible location to build. It was doomed from the start

The history of this is out there just look.

The city owns the location, the developer got huge tax breaks.

Follow the money.

Malls are closing left and right even in nice areas where they used to prosper. It was just a bad idea, then add in the huge crime problems of smash and grab and the flash mob type robberies

Glad wife and I got our trip in memorial weekend 2019.

stayed in place just across from wtc memorial.

seemed pretty safe.figured out subway and went up to Central Park.

under river over to Brooklyn!!

seemed pretty safe at least during the day!!seems like it turned into a shit hole!!

was hoping to get back to see few things we missed but maybe not!been through that mall!
