Most of the successful people I know never really retire one guy here became the biggest logger in Manitoba. Maybe even western Canada then he gave it to his boy who’s a pretty good guy too but then he retired to become the biggest bison farmer in Manitoba lol if you seen him walking down the street you’d think he’s a bum.

No they don't especially if they enjoy what they do and can do it on their own terms/schedule. Some won't understand that or claim to retire and still pick up odd jobs. But I'm retired. I will always stay busy and pretty much do as I wish for the last 30 years.

Seems like he's his own boss, unlike you. You never had any confidence in yourself to put your money where your mouth is. Rod
If you’re happy with mediocrity then retire at 50. To each their own. Seems to me like early retirees die young though

I don't have issue with HSR retiring at 50. Good for him if it works. I'd much rather retire comfortably at 50 than having to work into my 60's and 70's to keep up with the Jonses

Seems to me like early retirees die young though Yup, that's what these losers don't understand. Years ago I had a pleasant conversation with one of my close vendors/suppliers, he was in sales/owner for a manufacture's rep firm. He and his other partner sold the firm to their kids and other sales personal, however before that he was responsible for one of his OEM's largest sales contracts of about 40 million and his commission would have been about 4 million. At the point of my interaction with him he was 72 years old and I asked him when he would retire. He answered me, I golf everyday if I want, and vacation whenever, but I can't do that everyday, it gets boring. Only fools that hate what they do won't understand, that what drives others is rewarding.
