Antarctic Sea ice set record lows

Still a few weeks more melt left from mid Feb when this data was recorded.

Antarctic sea ice extent appears to have broken the record low set last year. With a couple more weeks likely left in the melt season, the extent is expected to drop further before reaching its annual minimum. Much of the Antarctic coast is ice free, exposing the ice shelves that fringe the ice sheet to wave action and warmer conditions.

Making your rounds again ah? You posted this about a month ago

Ah no…. That was the Arctic ice extent.  Antarctic is on the different side of the globe FYI…. I couldn’t have posted this a month ago cause this data came out 2 weeks ago…

Ice melts in the south pole during our winter and ice melts in the north pole during our summer. Very groundbreaking info.

Waiting on pins and needles for your next report here. Keep up the good work!

Nope.  Just intelligent enough to realize that a gradually warming global climate will mean less and less sea ice at the poles

I remember when they said there was less ice a few yrs ago and a bunch of scientists got stuck in boat, in ice where there wasnt suppose to be any.
