Family Plan Health Insurance

For those of you on a family plan, what are you paying annually not including dental, vision, etc.?

Seems there's a much steeper cost for fresh hires and it involves the health care plan...

Thanks

What are you seeing for a price?

I retained insurance from my employer at retirement. It was through UMR. Great insurance. Now it’s been switched to Deancare which is a horrible insurance company. Bottom of the barrel service. Deductible for family is $3500 per year and $7500 out of pocket max. $800/mo premium for just a single. $1400 for family.

It's not for me, it's about someone we're trying to hire but the family plan here is ludicrous and where the candidate works it's 1/3rd the price with a lower deductible.

Our family is on the wife's employer plan at $6300 annually with a $5k deductible.

Point being, when you have a family and are job shopping or an employer looking to hire your health insurance plan better be good these days

OBAMA SPEECH: On April 1st 2014.  I guess we all now know why it was April Fools Day.

"Because of this law, nearly 8 million seniors have saved almost $10 billion on their medicine because we’ve closed a gaping hole in Medicare’s prescription drug plan.  We’re closing the donut hole.  (Applause.)  And because of this law, a whole lot of families won’t be driven into bankruptcy by a serious illness, because the Affordable Care Act prevents your insurer from placing dollar limits on the coverage they provide.

These are all benefits that have been taking place for a whole lot of families out there, many who don’t realize that they’ve received these benefits.  But the bottom line is this:  Under this law, the share of Americans with insurance is up and the growth of health care costs is down, and that’s good for our middle class and that’s good for our fiscal future. "

My wifes company has ours. She pays $8500 a yr. Her employer supposedly covers 80% of hers and 70% of mine. Do the math. Then puke.

Deductibles are at a point where average families can’t afford them.

Not only the biggest buildings, they also provide the funding for huge const projects. Banks dont have thjat kind of money.
