Ok , serious question

What lax guns laws would you change that would actually have a chance at passing ?

A quick history of gun laws:

https://amnestymedia.org/american-gun-laws-explained-a-brief-history-of-gun-control/?amp=1

Reinstate the 1996 Assault weapons ban.  Waiting periods.  Back ground checks.  Close fun show loop holes, etc.  A long list of options but the NRA opposes all laws.

Timothy McVeigh didn't need a gun. The whack job that mowed down people in that Waukesha parade didn't either. :news:

Sure there are exceptions but how do the majority of mass atrocities happen?

If you ban assault weapons these freaks will just move on to buckshot.

The reason they dont now is contrary to popular beleif among the left, they are not gun guys. Most of these freaks are shooting up the place with the first gun they ever bought.

Waiting periods may help with suicides, not much else. We already do background checks. so few guns used in crimes come from gun shows ( less then 3 % ) that the ATF considers it to be a non issue.

Stopping freaks unfortunatly is damn near impossible.

Getting illegal guns off the streets involves putting women in prison , and lets face it . No one wants to do that. Especially seeing most have kids.

A whole lotta excuses.  Too many guns and gun laws are too lax.

Especially in democrat controlled cities like Chicago.

Why is the problem so much worse in the US?  All you guys post are excuses.  Laws work.  But you’re convinced they won’t because the NRA says so.

Most of those are coming from straw purchases. The mojority bought legal by girlfriends of gang bangers.

ATF needs to be spending more time looking at the books and going and asking to see the gun.

Ignorant example.  Surround the cities with similar gun laws and see what happens.

Great example, typical Democrat deflection.

Unless you stop the desire people have to kill others they will find a way . Massachusetts has very strict gun laws. NH has none beyond federal laws. Yet the murder rates in mass are higher. Some yrs as much as 3 times higher.

Boston alone probably has a higher rate than NH, VT and ME

There are more guns than people in the country already and every time the Dems talk gun control gun sales go up. Everywhere in the country that has strict gun laws gun crimes are high. If you want to fix gun violence stop blaming the gun. And for the record I don't like guns or own one so we want the same thing. In typical Dem fashion they make laws and regs that make them feel good without thought for effectiveness.

I’ve been labeled multiple things for a long time

And yes I own guns.  Friends with several cops and most want better gun laws which include more comprehensive training.

So you’re saying ignorance is to blame?  How about we copy laws from around the world that work?

True , and Im not going to say it is because NH , VT and Maine all have constitutional carry. Contrary to popular beleif, the availability of legal guns has very little to do with crime rates.

hummm

The United States is a country with an estimated population of about 320 million people. It has the highest rate of firearm ownership globally, and it also has some of the strictest gun control laws in the developed world.

OMG, lets go back to the 90's with the same old bullshit narrative.  One retard is already back saying the same fucking thing that he did before.  Their brains are only wired one way and they just can't find anything new.

The great thing about COVID was that it removed these liberal narratives for a while and we had some new things to talk about.  Now back to guns, abortions, russia etc.  Fuck me.
