Platinum Contributing Member Highmark Posted July 26, 2022 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted July 26, 2022 F35 showed up at the July 3rd airshow. Very cool however I thought the F18 there was just as if not more impressive with the high speed maneuvers it was doing.

A lot of great people. Just not the assortment of military hardware that I like to see. It was overshadowed by the death of a past and long time EAA president that occurred opening day. His father was one of early pioneers.

Gold Member Stephen Hawking Posted July 26, 2022 Gold Member Share Posted July 26, 2022 The C5s here just aren't the same since the upgrades, I miss the loud piercing whine the engines used to make. Fortunately the F15s are still noisy as hell.

Yes, that's the family I knew back in the 1960's, the EAA was in Franklin at the time, I lived in Muskego just about 4-5 miles from the EAA, they lived on Woods Rd. I traded a 1959 Pontiac for a '57 Chevy from their son. Oh, sorry, guess the guys name was Frank Brugger.
