The end of Chinese manufacturing.

Recommended Posts

we can't get high school kids to flip/serve hamburgers or cashier at Fleet Farm

how are we ever going to bring manufacturing back to the US with our environmental laws and lack of skilled trades workers?

wait, there's several million people waiting on the southern border to immigrate here, maybe we could employ them and let them pay into our tax system... as well as SSI

Ross Perot was right...

Long term america is sitting in the catbird seat. Resources, technology, farmland. China is fucked.

Sorry to pop your bubble of pessimism, but you’re wrong.

we're natural resource rich, undoubtedly

the ROW is gaining ground in tech on a daily basis, we aren't the only ones in space for example... and I don't consider Facebook, Instagram or Twitter 'technology'.  what's the single greatest technological achievement we've successfully come up with and produced 'in house' during the last decade?  meme's don't count.

we've a shitload of farmland, we're building subdivisions in if they haven't been bought out by big corporate farming.  what are we growing?  food to export or burn out of our tailpipes.

China is making deals around the world every day to secure the resources their people need.  Asian cultures think long term... 10/15/20/30/50 years.

:usflag: 'We' can't concentrate on anything longer than a goldfish.  https://www.wyzowl.com/human-attention-span/

am I wrong?  :)

Thinking about the topic further I realized one area where we are strong in technological development and manufacturing... our military industrial complex.  The same one Eisenhower warned us of.

Your mind is being polluted by negative and false facts. Look at some indicators comparing recent US vs China in industrial growth, production, productivity. America is killing it. So much so that we’re running short of workers and supply chain snags. China is virtually a resource wasteland. 3/4 of the land is uninhabitable, not appropriate for farming, and lacking in fresh water. don’t consume the hype about chine.

Wasn't there a fat bastid on a woodpile, ranting for years against American CEO'S for outsourcing to China and India?

Americans, indirectly financed China's world domination.

Nice going you fukkin American CEO bastards.

Interviewed by select groups of media people. Unlike any past authoritarian regime, China is doing exceptional from a technology and economic point perspective. They're poised to zoom right past America.

That’s such malarkey that china plays a long game. There’s absolutely no proof of that occurring. For a country that plays a long game, why has china destroyed itself so many times in past centuries? You’re simply parroting what you’ve read. There’s zero proof of any of that. China has a bad habit of undergoing massive collapses of their population. Can you answer why that is?
