My kids aren’t required to or shamed. It’s an amazing non-issue. And back to the main claim, there is no national mask mandate so that’s rather misleading. We're not under a mask mandate either, at our schools (smaller town though ... class sizes are roughly 100 students per grade). It's been recommended but not required for the school year up to this point. The grade school kids have to mask up if they have a close contact, otherwise it's at the discretion of the parents/kids. Same here, my kids have had to wear a mask at school since last year going back to in person, but they don't have to wear one while playing sports in school only when in classroom..
