Or put a microchip in you?

"Alexa, please report me to the IRS", you don't believe the federal government gave all these tech titans the alien technology for nothing did you?  👽.

But, tracking cash is also how they catch drug dealers, tax cheats and people milking the system.  So maybe it's not all bad?

There's plenty of ways to properly receive and use cash if you're smart, so if they're just catching criminals what's the issue?

....and those dirty rotting terrorist people.

That's why they put that little strip inside bills, they know how much cash you have on yourself, at your home, business or how much you have with you when you leave the country and come back.............  - - :stirthepot:............................... lol.gif.ee3446284ba1c103925d5558acc402f9.gif

That's why I use $2 bills, 50c coins and demand old bills during transactions.

Yes, I'm that guy in front of you at the drive thru.

It's the gun nuts talking shit on internet forums that should be concerned, rather than the cash obsessed.  Also, DO NOT buy ammunition with a credit card, big red flag in the NSA data base. ;)

How much do you think it will cost each and every person for the banks to report these transactions and the fed to monitor them....

Secondly and more importantly..

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

That's not just what I was talking about.

Just one of many reasons.

Some economists say that without cash, central banks could fight recessions more effectively because they’d have an effective way to impose negative interest rates — basically a tax on savings meant to spur spending

Easy. No checks over $500, no deposits into the bank account over $500 and no PayPal/Venmo payments over $500, for any side work I do. Thanks for the heads up! I was keeping all those things to the bare minimum anyway.

I only pay with cash, even paid cash for my home, I only have a Debit card for on-line purposes. No credit cards at all.

Ticked off a local car dealership when I handed him over $40,000 in $100 bills when buying a 2 year old truck..:lol2:

i'd have told you to go to the bank and get a check just from a security perspective.  i usually just write a personal check for mine.

If they would have told me that I would have went to another dealer, I only pay cash.

They had 3 people checking each $100 bill. It's not the first vehicle I purchased from them that way.

600 bucks really ? It matters just because of the sheer volume . Can you imagine the volume that agents would have to sort thrygh at 600 bucks.  Total Stupidity.  It will do more harm than good . If anything they need to bump up the 10k a few grand . At 10k the volume has to be overwhelming . 600 is some out of touch political hack with zero real world experience.

It is just a card you sign if you cash a check for over 9999. Takes about 20 seconds longer at the window.

Ask your banker next time you are in how long a person who gives you a check for say a car or sled has to dispute the check you just deposited.

Seriously ask

You will not deposit  a personal check for a significant amount again

Many many more transactions at the 600.00 level than the 9999.00

I prefer personal checks in my business.  I routinely take deposit checks for 20k or more. Far cheaper and less expensive than credit cards and the fed made it impossible for me to take cash as my clients would get audited if the showed up with that much cash (should I be dumb enough to deposit it in one shot).

Bingo.  Take a good look at how the democrats target anyone that runs against them now.  Think of the bullshit red tape they would cause with this.
