Now keep in mind a portion of this was under the same circumstances and self isolation we are doing now. Now I'm NOT downplaying the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic I'm just trying to put some perspective to it. I'm not advocating changes to self isolation or anything. At this point I fully support the efforts to stop the spread. In that just short of 6 month period we lost on average 4,000-10,000 people a month to the season flu. Here's the problem with that. If 20,000 people end up dying NOBODY will heed their warnings next go around. I don't like these predictions on total deaths. I get they serve a purpose of scaring people into compliance but has serious consequences if they are wrong. IMHO there is a better way to convey the serious nature of what we are facing.
