My 5.0 seemed to have gotten worse as it aged. Up to 14 l/100 unloaded before I traded it. Left me stuck once too when the water pump failed. Shitty low powered motor but back in 2010 my 4.6l v8 with the 6 speed got the best fuel econ I had.
