Well I havent seen the actual proposal for the wall right of way but if this is like most any other federal construction project the property owners that are displaced will be compensated for their land. Typically this compensation is in line with the assessed or taxed value of the land. In this case, we're talking about an RV park with some park model RV's and some trailer houses and many transient 5th wheel campers and motorhomes. I think everyone knew it was going to be very difficult to construct a barrier along most parts of the Rio Grand river. The vast majority of the land on each side of the Rio Grand is farmland with only a small percentage if it occupied by people.
