Out Of His Mind Trump Demands Automakers Lower All Car Prices By $3,000

Recommended Posts

Back to the tweet topic at hand.  Not a demand, not insane ramblings either.  I would wager half of this board could not afford a new F150 Lariat 4x4 without financing it for 60 or more months.  They are simply priced too high.

I was 100% correct. We were fighting from a position of power. Our economy is in so much better shape than the rest of the world we could fight this war under the best possible conditions for us. Instead Trump chose Christmas toys and cell phone parts.

All he really cares about is reelection. The man is a 100% failure

no you weren't. You simply over estimated your importance to the Chinese. They were always going to react the same. Massive miscalculation on Trump's part and when it ends he will have nothing to show for it.

I think his team realized that to do this correctly with China, he needs re-election.  There isn’t enough time to do this properly right now.  They waited to long to take on China.

If anybody but Trump wins in 2020, assuming the top runners in the Dem party are all that is standing in the general, the exodus of employers and jobs we will see will make Obama’s purging seem like child’s play.  More wealth is being hedged and protected in America right now than ever before because of this socialist movement.  It’s a scary scenario.

He had to face the reality that if he pushed us into recession which the continued war would he would lose in 20 and all his claims about being a great president would have been clearly wiped away ion the history books.  It's all about his EGO nothing more.

true-  their population will react a lot different to adversity than ours while Trump will be shown the door if the economy slides.

I can afford to BUT if it was zero percent financing I am better off leaving my cash in investments earning more.

His tweet specifically mentions cars. If you want to claim he meant all passenger vehicles then fine but you don’t get to cherry pick and just use a pickups as an example.

China’s economic decoupling from parts of the west was right around the corner. Trump’s tariffs pushed it along faster. I think the United States represents 18% of China’s exports. That’s not a huge amount.  I remember several here saying that China would experience widespread starvation if we stopped selling them food.

I find it cute that anyone pays even remotely close to retail on American branded cars/trucks.   Simply demand invoice pricing and haggle over dealer hold back.
