Lard and baking.

Recommended Posts

Used to be a little shitty redneck bar that would fry burgers up in a cast iron skillet with lard.  Unreal.  Every now and then somebody would end up in the hospital with “sasparilla” but, meh.  Worth it!!!

They put 6 slices of bacon, half a Vidalia onion on it and three kinds of cheese! Enjoyed with canning jars of cold tap!!!!

Probably more teeth in the floor than the patrons.

What color dress and heels while your baking? You let your hair down or keep it up?

I bake a lot. Friends love it. Double chocolate chip cookies, apple/cheddar cheese pies, blueberry pies, cherry pies. Everything is made from scratch including the filling. All organic.

It takes a particular level of intelligence, creativity, and commitment to bake well. You should still to chewing gum and walking.

It great for deep frying too.....1000x better than oil

Remember jamstock 1 when Dan Kalavo brought the huge tub of lard and we cooked fresh walleye in it. That was incredible.

Dan worked at a place that made lard.
