Trump is failing to achieve one of the biggest goals of his trade war, and he only has himself to blame

You’ve posted this like 10 times already. You do realize tariffs aren’t the end game right? This is just fodder for the ignorant.

What is the end game exactly and is the damage to the economy going to be worth it?

I post it every month when the trade sheet is published. I’ll keep doing so. Thank you for noticing. Emerging markets are now beginning to suffer as well. Of course trump humpers and their myopic view of the world could care less. It does indicate that the party is coming to an end.

A new trade deal with China. You can argue his strategy is not a good one, and that’s a valid argument. But to point to the trade imbalance is like celebrating the score at half time. It isn’t over yet.

New trade deal? What exactly is that? Please explain to the class.

Do you think it is fair for China to have the same tariffs on our exports as we do on theirs?

Do you think it's fair for them to consistently violate our patent laws and steal intellectual property?

Do you think it's fair that China subsidizes their industry to dump commodities on our economy which undermines our domestic producers?

Do you think these issues should be addressed?

I think the Chinese are going to hold out until 2020. They will dump billions of dollars into a democratic candidate to defeat Trump and then it will be back to normal. If Trump doesn't get impeached by then. Then the chicoms will just buy off the Republicans.

How about not addressing these issues in a manner that not only renders a tax on Americans, but also creates increases of the symptoms it’s designed to treat?

What incentive is their for China to do that? They liked things the way they were.

You don’t think they’ve tried? Putting the pressure on them big time is a different approach than what’s been done before. Let’s see if it works.

There’s no stopping China or any other country from stealing IP rights. That’s a losing game. England and Europe tried it with the US and lost. The only solution is to keep innovating. Our government would be much better served to use its resources to create openings for companies based here to innovate. There’s many signs that China has now gone beyond copying and they’re now inovating. A perfect example of that is their latest electronic equipment.

Well if they are stealing them the least we can do is not let them sell the shit here.

I'm amused at the media and sheeples lack of knowledge of even the basics of trade like strength of the dollar.

Reality is the media probably know's but the people like AFJ obviously have no clue.

In many ways from experience I can tell you this is correct.   Protect your IP here and hope this market is more than enough to cover those costs and boost profits to reasonable levels.

Thing is about IP its easy to see if that IP is giving you huge margins which only gives competitors incentive to fight it.

China just bought 2 million tons of American beans. Biggest single day purchase in a decade

Is the total tonnage from 2016, or 2017, more or less then 2018?

And US taxpayers ore on the hook for 12 billion to farmers.

......contrary to popular belief here, China is not producing junk. That’s the real danger. They’ll start doing it better.

As the Japanese did before them. All  anyone has to do is study history to learn
