When someone tries to break free from the world currency and debt manipulators we invade their country, impose economic sanctions and/or cripple their economy thru currency and debt manipulation. You should watch the news sometime. Any country the TV tells us is run by an "evil dictator" is probably one of those countries. So what you are saying is it doesn't fit the word for word WiKi definition. There will always be government intervention, taxation, regulations etc, but the US and Canada are likely the most free market you are gonna get. I rarely watch TV and I certainly don't want to know who the US plans to invade next.

For the sake of the argument...let's just say our "free market" is about is about as "free" as any civilized country is gonna get. Let's not confuse societal definitions with economic. Zambroski
Well, I think we've slipped off the table a bit with the attempts at defining what makes up a free market economy. So be it. I guess without a lot of the "cut and paste" rhetoric from the FS heavy liberals, threads like this tend to go pretty stale quickly. Just kinda hoping some of the Die Hard Pro-Dems had any semi-intelligent thoughts of their own I guess. It's early yet though...I'll hold on...... racer254
Z sounds like he is just sick of the same old shtick used by those tolerant liberals. We all know they are not tolerant and the same bullshit is just sickening. I heard on the radio this morning and I have also seen it by a few here. They are using the same playbook as they did in 2012 with romney....tax returns!!!! It's a joke, lets start taking about how to make this country better instead of putting crooks and liars in charge. Following declines in seven of the past eight years, the United States this year has equaled its worst score ever in the Index of Economic Freedom. Ratings for labor freedom, business freedom, and fiscal freedom have flagged notably, and the regulatory burden is increasingly costly. Guess they didn't want to post this, from the link. Odd..............
