It is however a slippery slope we go down when we start accepting minor erosions of those rights because acceptance becomes excuses for further erosion. "Well you allowed us to bend the rules here so lets do it some more." Before you know it that right is gone altogether. This is happening to so many of our rights from free speech to protection from illegal searches and seizures. Best way to control people is to take a little of their freedom away at at time and when those freedoms are all gone they won't even realize they had them.
