I have done a little reading about Peters, he may have never deployed but of course you know the military does need intelligence officers, and he did spend ten years in Germany while the Cold War was going on working as an FAO specializing in the Soviet Union, you would have to think that like Vladimir Putin he knows that there is no such thing as a former KGB officer, and that he understands the chaos and division that the Russians have helped fuel in this country.
