Just need to understand how the game is played. If one has a good understanding of statistics and probability they can win at blackjack. That being said , I don't drink when I play.

i can play blackjack for hours,  I love statistics so its one of those games where if you play right even if you lose it prob won't be big.  I also do not drink when i gamble.  I like to go once or twice a year although this year i did not go at all as both times ti was on the plan it fell through.

Gambling is worse than heroin or booze.

Drinks are free while you gamble in Vegas. So as long as you keep a handle on it, it’s fine. We went into a pub and paid $20.00 for two drinks that would have been free 100 feet away if we were gambling. So from then on it was gamble to get a drink then walk. That’s the only way I stood a chance of winning in Vegas.

You won't get the waitress around very often if you don't tip table minimum.  Free is a relative term in Vegas.

I’ve only been twice. Their are way better ways to spend my time

drinking all night for an average of 50 bucks is pretty cheap. I always tip the waitresses well. It’s part of the theme.  Besides if they are kind enough to wear those outfits, I’ll pay for the view

We set a limit and when the money is for the night our drinking and gambling is done.

I play the cheap shit and usually win long enough to have a drunken walking tour of Vegas. In the end winning with the cheap gambling you barely make minimum wage.

The entertainment and people watching is something worth seeing once.

Ive had people brag about being frequent flyers in Vegas. Getting deals from their points program etc.  Didn’t realize that sucker was printed on their forehead. One guy couldn’t have sense talked into him. Even after he “decided” to “downsize” their home he kept going back.

Only been to Vegas once.   Love playing blackjack but I just don't like wasting my hard earned money.

The time we went a concierge at the Bellagio told us to go to Playboy Club on top of the Palms on Sunday nights as its "reasonable."   My wife was all for it so we went.   $25 minimum was the lowest table that night and the drinks were outrageous but it was well worth it.   I think its closed now.  Even she had a blast.

Why would anyone even entertain the idea of not tipping those hard working women?

Vegas is a hole in so many ways.   But the whole place is a show. As long as you go with the attitude that it's as fake as the servers tits then you can enjoy it.

Once a decade is enough for me.

People are free to piss their money away how ever they see fit, but IMO there is nothing more wasteful than gambling. Whenever I hear someone talk about their trip to the casino or Vegas(to gamble) I immediately think they are a fucking idiot.

I would totally go to Vegas but I wouldn't gamble there. Lots of other cool stuff to do there.

I feel the same way. We go to vegas regularly. I dont win or lose more than $20 on any given trip. I gave up a lot of my life earning what i have. Im not planning to give it away in a scheme that is rigged against me.

At some point in life I figured out that simply stepping out the front door in the morning was a pretty big gamble     To each their own , but like Tom said , it came way to hard to throw it away on a stupid game that's rigged for you to loose .   :bc:
