$14k for a refrigerator is ridiculous. $14k for a snowmobile is a good start.

2024 Arctic Cat Catalyst 'Chassis' details?

Think that infringes on Doos pyramidal chassis patents. Get back to the drawing board. -
Softening global demand. Agreed eventually takes over with the Saudis and they reduce prices since they don't want to lose market share.

You need to keep better company. I don't know of anyone voting for Haley. If she were the candidate, I'm not sure I could vote for her.

Have enough 4" 3/8 extensions?

Finally put a tool box together for my garage last year. Tired of hauling stuff back and forth to my shop. Just picked up the Wera stubby and long screwdrivers and Craftsman Overdrive wrenches. The Craftsmen overdrive is similar to the Mac RBRT wrenches that are about $400 on the tool truck. These were $75 and I had a $20 off coupon. Sockets are all DeWalt. Paid like $150 for a set of 6 point sockets. Had this Craftsman box since college!

2024 SLOW start to the season ride reports
teamgreen02 replied to Doug's topic in General Snowmobile Forum
It's way too early to make any predictions but there is at least activity on the long range models for a storm Jan 9-10. Should be cold enough to be all snow anyways. The inch or so we had on the ground here all melted today. -
Keep in mind, most of us don't plan on dragging scratchers 6,000 miles a year either.

Snow guns are on at Canterbury tonight! Looks like plenty of cold weather in the forecast too.

I'd quit snowmobiling if that's the sled I had to ride.

I put that idiot on ignore a few days ago. Always telling people how wrong they are and he rides a Barney. -

@fortune46x what's the report on Canterbury snow making? Haven't drove by there in about a week. Looks like they may be able to start making snow at night this week. I'll be going by on New Years Eve so maybe stop and snap some pictures to post.

Someone should tell him his BAW doesn't look cool.

That's what it looked like to me seeing the front arm drop so fast. Unless the front arm actually broke.

Nearly half of Buick dealers sell out rather then invest in selling EV’s
teamgreen02 replied to Rod's topic in Current Events
Pontiac would have been a good brand for EVs. Buick is really redundant with Cadillac anyways. -

What doesn't make sense to me is why GM would be using the Buick brand to push EVs so hard? The Buick demographic is going to be the last ones to change from gas to electric. Their buyers have had gas vehicles for 40+ years, are getting older, and aren't likely to adapt to a new technology. Good article in the WSJ today. EVs are stacking up on dealer lots with 60+ days of inventory. There will be lower cost EVs coming in 2025 but manufactures are already having profitability problems selling the high end EVs. Tesla is going to mop the floor with the legacy vehicle manufacturers. Think of the carry costs on a $50k+ EV at 60+ days compared to Tesla's direct consumer purchases. -
I looked this week when I drove by and didn't see a spec of white anywhere near Canterbury. They used to haul in a lot from the parking lot, not sure if they still do that or not.

More oil gets turned into gasoline than diesel. Diesel costs are mostly hidden to consumers in higher prices at the store and higher prices for services like garbage/shipping.

While we wait for the Canterbury race, here is a blast from the past. Spoiler, an Arctic Cat wins both Pro Lite and Pro Open and Elias Ishoel crashes twice. I miss Chris Hawkey and Mike Schroeder in the booth.

That's the downside to the painted plastics. They sure look good but anywhere that makes contact with another part is going to chip off like that. My Polaris Sportsman is the same way around where the front rack closes and touches the plastic. Cat should have a molded plastic insert that snaps in there and takes the pull rope handle abuse.

Its possible since the replay on Flo still has the same issue. On Saturday night, go to 8:48:40 in the video and you will see exactly what happened.

Spring puller showed up today. Looks like it will work ok. Might buy the longer one next time I stop at DK.
