  1. FBI warning: protect yourself from your new smart TV https://www.ctvnews.ca/sci-tech/fbi-warning-protect-yourself-from-your-new-smart-tv-1.4716083?fbclid=IwAR2xH8kTPcte7_-Djp55zxHqLxvufcO1C6N00ZuHU7qjuyvBkhLPT0X3CBI
  2. Holy fuckin tats!!! Maybe I'm too old but what is the allure of having so many?
  3. Same with us. Quite a few Seadoo's on our lake but being land locked, I really don't see the purpose of them. If we could go from lake to lake and make a day trip out of it, it might be different? Our boat has served us well, and we have a pile of hours on it from tubing, water skiing and knee boarding. Doing all my mtce this year saved me a bundle but outside of the storage/mtce fees I used to pay, owning a boat really hasn't been that expensive for us either.
  4. Beauty day here as well. Of course there will be no outdoor fire and a beer for me! Mother wants me to go grocery shopping with her. 😕
  5. Nice job! Did your brother do the whole truck or was it a family affair? Sorry if I missed the whole story.

    Yes, that's for sure too.

That is due to what Zam wrote below. People dislike him based on what they see on CNN/MSNBC and read in liberal funded newspapers. It's amazing the power the media has over the populace. It's the same up here as well, unfortunately
  8. That's a great price and I don't blame you one bit for using it. My son's XLT drinks the stuff but I've always put off adjusting the injection setting. Seeing the prices now, I think I will when I need to purchase oil again. Going from the thicker Produmax to the thinner Shell stuff made a huge difference in the amount it uses!
  9. Even the non OEM stuff is getting crazy! After conversing with Tomas in the sled thread and looking for the Shell advance at my jobber store, I couldn't believe how much it had risen since the last time I purchased it. $64.99 regular price for 5 liters!! That's insane! https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/shell-advance-synthetic-snowmobile-oil-5l-0281796p.0281796.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIprbvo4HH5gIVEdvACh0NvAJrEAQYASABEgKqovD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#store=336 I also noticed the regular price of a decent synthetic engine oil like Pennzoil was now over $61 dollars up here!
  10. I just purchased a new one for my Vector. 310 CCA's/heavy duty. $179 up here but got it for $132.
  11. I've done 400 kms before and that nearly did me in. Not a chance I could do 500 miles, not at my age anymore.
  12. Are you seeing Daikin's failing already? I was torn between a Trane and a Daikin but took the latter based on 2 more yrs of warranty. Our new Daikin thermo has been less than stellar as well. It has a 1 degree temp differential where most have a 1/2 or none at all. Numerous complaints to service men have gotten us nowhere but that is partly my fault for not pushing the issue. Touch wood, but so far our Daikin furnace and A/C units have been working great for 3+ years now.
  13. Monsivis has an extensive criminal history — mostly traffic offenses — according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He has been charged with multiple DUIs and multiple counts of driving with his license either suspended or canceled. Other arrests include charges of unlawfully carrying a concealed firearm, battery of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, hit-and-run with property damage and possession of synthetic marijuana. https://www.tampabay.com/news/florida/2019/12/19/truck-crashes-through-wall-at-sarasota-bradenton-airport/
  14. 74 Pro Street. I cooked the engine 16-17 yrs ago and it hasn't moved since. Hope to get at it one day soon but there always seems to be something getting in the way.
  15. Yep. Our last furnace/AC (Daikin) we got in 2016 came with a 12 yr warranty. I kinda sorta know a guy (friend of a friend) who has his own business and even though he was cheaper, he couldn't come close to offering that warranty. The name of the furnaces he sells/installs escapes me right now but the reviews on them were less than stellar as well.
  16. Bingo! No way no how. I imagine the TDS sufferers want her gone asap. I've always said she was the Dems best choice, but, like others have noticed, they just don't see it. Speaks volumes how out of touch/insane they are, imo. I know she supports climate change and speaks about that often, but I've always wondered if she truly does believe or if she is just following along due to her parties agenda?
  17. My Monte is under some special low rate as they know it is stored in my garage and not being driven. I can't recall the rate/fee off the top of my head but it is real cheap. I've heard of Haggerty and that's who I'll likely go with when the Monte gets back on the road someday? As far as the other insurance goes, anytime I have called around, some places will beat house insurance but charge more per vehicle or just the opposite. When I crunch the numbers, I am always paying more. I've been with the Co-Operators since I was 16. My sleds, however, after I was told about TD Meloche (sp?) by Killer on here a few+ years ago, I went with them as they were actually cheaper than the Co-ops. Before I switched, the co-ops told me they were only insuring my sleds because I had so many other things with them but if they had a choice, they wouldn't insure sleds at all. I talked about my others things with TD and, IIRC, they wanted something like $500 dollars more per vehicle? I asked the girl on the other end if she was reading things right, to which she replied, yes. That is what I always run into. I'm 55 now and unless something increases drastically for no particular reason, I'll likely be sticking with the Co-Op's from here on in.
  18. Rarely a day goes by where they don't see each other, which isn't healthy, imo, but outside of the 2 of them being together, there doesn't seem to be much going on among any of their friends either. They do things like dine out, movies, Canada's Wonderland, etc, but most of their friends, for some reason or another, never do much of anything it seems. Times have changed big time since I was their age as I was always on the go visiting/hanging around with friends, checking out bars, going to friend's cottages, etc, etc. Having some of his friends up to our trailer occasionally over the years looked like the highlight of their lives. Many of my son's male friends and his GF's friends parents are all divorced so not a lot of money to go around I assume? Different times for sure.
  19. Obviously I don't know with a 100% certainty, but I think that is it for the most part. Trump's anti Liberal Climate change views don't help either as I think the ultimate endgame is more Global than what we are being told or are able to currently see.
  20. She's pretty cool and likes to see him get out and have fun but I think 2-3 days away from each other would do them both in. I remember when romance was like that. If I tell my wife I am going away for a weekend or whatever, she says, is that all.
  21. I'll likely be doing that after the Christmas holidays are over for everyone. I was really hoping to get out with my son locally while he is off on Christmas break/semester change. With his work schedule/girlfriend, etc, going away for a few days isn't a possibility.
  22. No kidding!! +4 around here starting Sunday and in the pluses for as far out as one can see. With the snow we got in November, I really thought I'd be riding locally for sure. https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-149_metric_e.html
