  1. Exactly! Not one ever has been perfect both up here and south of the border but when one looks at the alternative(s), sometimes the one already holding power is, by far, the much better choice. For those that don't believe that I suggest they look at the imbecile we have in charge up here and just imagine how much worse it could be.
  2. This one has good looking women.
  3. Same. The only piece of jewelry I have is a chain I wear around my neck that my wife bought me 25+ yrs ago. Always hated wearing a watch, ring or anything like that. I do like hearing stories like in the original post, however. Whether they are watches, paintings, fine art or other collectibles, it's cool to see when people cash in on something they had no idea was valuable.
  4. Spin, do you just do this to wind up some members here or do you actually believe some of the tripe you post? https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/mediaite/ These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Left Bias sources. Overall, we rate Mediaite Left Biased based on story selection that almost always favors the left and Mixed for factual reporting due to misleading sensational headlines and use of poor sources.
  5. If you think Freeland and the dope got the best deal for Canada, you have rocks in your head! Their immaturity, stupidity and outright ignorance when not knowing to keep their mouths shut cost us Canadians. Fact. Of course your hero's can do no wrong in your eyes as you, yourself, are about as bright as they are.

    Sled ride

Did you get any rain your way, Ponch, or was it all snow?
  7. 6 yrs in construction before transferring to operations in 89 for another 30. Not a soul was killed during the construction phase but of course there were injuries. Heights never scared me back then when I was 18-24 but they do nowadays!
  8. Wow, what a bunch of idiotic morons. How anyone can defend the Dem's and actually want them in power over President Trump, is beyond me??
  9. Aah, so you watched Trump's lawyers decimate the Dems and now it's put you in a sour mood. The rage within you is too much to handle so have to respond to a post that was made over a week ago. It's OK, Barb, he's the president of the U.S. not our PM up here in Canada. You should ask your yoga instructor what's the best move for TDS. Hopefully, for your sake and well being, he has one for you.
  10. Any good vid clips of it anywhere? I know I won't see anything on the news if it paints Trump or the Republicans in a good light.
  11. Poor Macron!! Cornered in a theater by his angry people. The Liberal ideology/idiocy/hypocrisy is fading fast, thankfully!
  12. I remember that scene but I can't recall any other part of that movie? Guess I better get googling as well. Edit: I remember it now but I must have not been impressed or something as I think I only watched it once? I was 14-15 so who knows what I was doing?
  13. So it's not the Gov't's fault when things go south but your Hero, Trudope gets all the credit when things are good? Personal insolvencies in Canada are at their highest level in a decade. https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/personal-insolvencies-in-canada-are-at-their-highest-level-in-a-decade-1.4715915 ‘Maxed out’: 48% of Canadians on brink of insolvency, survey says. https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/maxed-out-48-of-canadians-within-200-of-insolvency-survey-says-1.1247336
  14. Great movie, only it was Bronson, not Burt, unless you're talking about another movie I am not familiar with?
  15. We are supposed to get anywhere from 20 to 35 mm's of rain tonight!! Originally they were forecasting 20+ cm's of snow, which would have been a huge improvement for these parts, but with this much rain coming, everything will be back down to dirt again! I was supposed to go sledding in Haliburton today with a couple buds for my first ride of the year but when I fired my sled up yesterday, I received a code #81. Turns out it is my handle bar/thumb warmers but it can make the sled/ECU act wonky if it wants too. Didn't want to have trail side issues, and more importantly, didn't want to screw up my friends ride so I decided to stay home instead. Rain tonight/tomorrow so I won't be getting out anytime soon by the looks of things?
  16. Funny you posted that one alluding to the reason why they left instead of your hero's policies being the real reason. What about this one you decided to conveniently leave out? Encana’s move south only intensified the gloom enveloping the Canadian energy industry after foreign companies sold more than US$30 billion of assets in the past three years amid a lack of pipeline space that has choked off prospects for growth. Encana joins pipeline owner TransCanada Corp., which changed its name to TC Energy Corp. earlier this year, in dropping the link to Canada from its name. Here's some great news for you, Trail. What's your spin on this? Bank of Canada keeps rates at 1.75%, trims 2020 economic forecast https://globalnews.ca/news/6445742/bank-of-canada-rate-announcement-jan-22-2020/ Canada’s gloomy economic outlook may put federal finances at risk https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-canadas-gloomy-economic-outlook-may-put-federal-finances-at-risk/
  17. Encana is bidding farewell to Canada and setting off for greener pastures in the United States. But when Encana relocates to the US they are only changing their name and staying with the energy business. Since the late 1800's Encana has been a fixture in Canada's energy sector however over the past decade its share value has tumbled to just 10% of its peak value. The move isn't because energy is not valuable. Under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Liberal government, Canada is becoming a less attractive jurisdiction to do business in. Bill C-69 makes any future resource project nearly impossible to approve which means energy companies have a major barrier to expanding and finding investors. By contrast, government regulations and attitudes toward energy sector business in the United States is highly favourable and Encana will have greater access to investors. This move is another symbol of how Liberal policies are hurting Canada's resource sector and closing the door to business and jobs! https://business.financialpost.com/…/farewell-encana-hello-…
