Puzzleboy
So now they're bitching about aboriginal costumes in the shops. Did the Village People complain or something? Will french maids protest next, that the time-honoured costumes objectify them? What about the Slutty Cop uniform? Will Odot and Shadow protest? A guy I work with went out one year done up in blackface, and his girlfriend hauled him around by a leash and collar. Another year, he dressed up wearing women's undergarments and went as Colonel Russel Williams...... I guess those are not ok either? I did like the new Kardashian tied and bound one for this year. Fuck it..... I'll just go as the spooky clown again this year.

If they pass it, it counts and they don't have to write it in the spring, if they fail it does not matter. The test was to be done online only, the system crashed so they had to scrap it. More than 200K students pissed off. Thanks Wynnebag.

ArcticCrusher
Always good to look at Paulina. Perhaps someone could come up with a Wynnebag mask, that would really scare the kids.

Puzzleboy
The DJ on 97.7 said it best - "70 years ago, 18 year-olds stormed the beach at Normandy, knowing full well death likely awaited them. Today, 18 year-olds are worried about hurting someone's feelings." http://www.torontosun.com/2016/10/24/brock-university-stamps-out-prohibited-halloween-costumes Brock University stamps out ‘prohibited’ Halloween costumes Postmedia Network First posted: Monday, October 24, 2016 12:21 PM EDT | Updated: Monday, October 24, 2016 12:29 PM EDT Halloween masks are offered for sale at Fantasy Costumes on October 19, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois ST. CATHARINES, Ont. — One Ontario university has already laid down the law on what costumes will be “prohibited” at the campus Halloween party this year. Brock University’s list includes ankle-length robes worn by Arab men, makeup depicting Japanese geishas, anything with the Confederate flag on it, and costumes that depict Caitlyn Jenner, the transgender celebrity. According to the school’s “costume protocol” developed by the student union, traditional or religious headdresses such as feathered bonnets and turbans, are also off limits. “If a member of your party is denied entry because of their costume, they will be escorted to a space where they can change or remove the offending item,” students have been told. Brock’s list of political correctness is just the latest in a trend that’s picking up across North America. The University of Florida recently issued a memo reminding students they can submit a “bias incident report” and seek counselling if they encounter an offensive costume. Last year, when Yale University sent out a mass e-mail about appropriate Halloween wear, Erika Christakis, a lecturer in early childhood education, wrote back wondering if administrators had lost faith in the ability of young people to “exercise self-censure, through social norming.” “Is there no room anymore for a child or young person to be a little bit obnoxious ... a little bit inappropriate or provocative or, yes, offensive?” Christakis wrote. Brock University’s student union developed its costume rules following outcry two years ago over a group of students who dressed in blackface as the Jamaican bobsled team. In a Friday statement, Brock University said “applauds our student union’s efforts to educate people about the importance of being respectful in what we say and wear, including at Halloween. “Brock is a vibrant, tolerant community where people of all cultures, religions and orientations are accepted and welcomed,” the statement continued. revrnd
2 words that should be banned from daily usage, inclusiveness & tolerance. Rather than society as a whole having to change because of a minority of whiners, maybe the whiners should grow a pair. Love the Faceplant memes that list the "bad" things kids of the 60s & 70s were exposed to. Any of us that grew up in that era would probably have to visit our parents in jail by today's standardss. Dr. Phil & Oprah have brainwashed too many mothers in the last generation.
