Roger that.  :bc:

For 34 years that method was easiest for me as well.  Being unemployed changes your perspective...... :news:

Oh heck ya save where you can.

Also if I ever have an issue I can let him handle it lol

I was planning on about 4500. When I got 8200 I was joyous.

Yes I know I let the fed hold too much but I like it that way.

Although with Dems getting all socialist I might have to re think what I have withheld...soon they may decide someone else deserves it more.

That piece of shit oil company I used to work for keeps flashing Benjamin's in my face.  What's a guy to do.

To me, paying the couple hundred bucks to have someone file them for me is worth it.  I have done it in the past but I know enough to understand the accounts know things I don't.

I still go through and audit the return to know it was done right.

Always did my own taxes. Turbo tax last few years. Easy as fuck!

Really easy.  I felt obligated to my accountant friend but once he decided to move away from Alaska I had no more obligations.

you can't have anything that complicated,  I use turbo tax and have for years.

Simple and easy esp now with no need to itemize deductions.  I ended up with paying a sub 10% tax rate for the second year in a row-  'merica is a great place when you can make well into 6 figures and pay so little.  The college tax credit saved me from having to pay in,  when i ran rough numbers i thought about $100 back then the computer had me at $100 owed until i got that $2500

Very likely true but I also get to ask dumb tax questions for “free”  throughout the year for that $170. :bc:

First year with turbo tax as well.  Our guy caught brain tumor .

My guy is like 85. Still a really sharp dude. Been doing it out of his basement for like 60 years. His advice over the years has been huge for me.

Yeah, are guy is up there too, doing  it at home.   Really cool car guy.  Always looked forward to the little trinkets he would give every year for using him. 😁

He told my wife this year.......”you’re a smart gal, just use turbo tax.”

well the money you pay to have your taxes done is deductable .

that and I don't have time or desire or the experience to do my own are 4 reasons I just pay to have it done .

5 and most important  would be so if I get audited the guy that did the work is sitting next to me to awnser the questions as I sit there say nothing lol
