Neal Spend just a bit more for a B58. More reliable and easy to make big power too. I have just a downpipe and tune for 420hp to the wheels. My BIL is running E40 on his and is much quicker than mine. 90k miles, 50k been tuned and have not done one single repair 1 Quote

I’m not a BMW guy at all but the 1/2/3 series all look pretty badass. Neal Quote

Gets me off the line every time Quote
NaturallyAspirated Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 BTW, one can find a nice used 2021 Tesla S Plaid for about $72,000, it has 1020hp. Thats $70.60/hp, a damn good value for a 200mph car that scoots 0-60 in 2.1 seconds. Neal Quote

USA Donating Member Deephaven Posted March 26, 2024 USA Donating Member Posted March 26, 2024 For running errands it would be ideal...if it weren't a complete piece of shit. I tried like hell to buy one, but drive one once and even the acceleration does nothing to make it an okay experience. Serious piece of crap. Perhaps they will get the next generation right...although history shows they will fuck that up too. Either way the fanboi's will love it. Quote
USA Donating Member Deephaven Posted August 1, 2024 USA Donating Member Posted August 1, 2024 Turned in my S6 and am shopping. Plaid is out, such a piece of shit...tried again. How far can you take the B58 in a 5 series? Comparing to the M550i. Need a car for a year only so not interested in spending a ton at the moment. 540 would be the cheapest option. Also contemplating a 17 CTS-V, 17 Panamera Turbo, S8, M550i/540. For a year I think the 540 makes the most sense, but it's too slow stock. Quote
