Carl DeMaio, chair of Reform California, one of the state’s largest center-right organizations targeting voters, said Republicans see the legal cases against Trump as illegitimate. They’re now the main reason many Republicans here support him — “because the system is corrupt,” DeMaio said, channeling the anger he’s heard bubbling up.

“People are going to rally around him because they feel like he’s getting a raw deal,” said DeMaio, who hosts a talk show on AM-600 KOGO out of San Diego. “But I think they are really feeling like, ‘Oh my God, our country has reached the point where the ruling party and the establishment media are able to weaponize something as important as our criminal justice system.’ I don’t think the media understand that. I don’t think people on the left understand that. And I don’t think the politicians on the left understand it.”

That could explain why California Republicans, who failed to knock out Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in a Covid-inspired recall in 2021, have a superminority at the Capitol in Sacramento and may not even have a viable nominee in the open U.S. Senate race, are still likely to turn out in force for Trump next spring.

“On our side people are really wanting to show up and support him and run up the numbers,” DeMaio said. “And that should be the mindset that the Republican Party has: ‘This country is on the wrong track, California is on the wrong track, get involved and let’s have California end the presidential primary. Let’s put him over the top.’”

Dems better find another candidate with a pulse soon. They can’t phony indict him out of running. It’s not going to work, it’s just making him stronger.

I hope not as it will give the R's a chance if they don't.  Trump still can't beat him but pretty much any other R could.

The people/voters are seeing this, Dems can't hide behind their phony colors any more. They've exposed themselves for the frauds that they are and the results of this admin. is the icing on the cake. You'd have to be a complete, ignorant moron to think the corrupt Dems are good for this country.

Lol.  Not at all.  Delusion is thinking what is happening is making Trump stronger.  Yes, the ultra right feel that way but any conservative that approaches the central is disgusted.  Your polls are geared towards getting the extreme to respond.  The red wave didn't happen that was polled and expected and if we put Trump as the front runner vs any D we will see a Blue wave response that will fuck us for a very long time.

According to a Pew Research article from June 2021, independent voters helped get Biden across the finish line in 2020 with a 9-point lead over Trump, 52% to 43%, as Republican and Democrats were almost evenly split with 94% respective support for the candidates.

That 9-point span is currently going to Trump, 51% to 42%, according to the new Post-ABC poll of all adult voters.

That poll shows voters are now looking back at Trump with a more favorable view than they had when he left office in 2021.

Just 38% of voters approved of Trump in January 2021, but 48% now say they approved of the former president's job performance.

The poll found that 56% of voters disapprove of Biden's job performance and 75% now say they approve of Trump's tenure.

The recent poll was conducted for ABC News by Langer Research Associates via phone calls with 1,006 adults on Sept. 15-20, and has a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.

A poll is nothing but a snapshot in time.

I make no statements as to their worth or their accurateness.

I simply post them as a learning tool, feel free to do with them as you please.

In the absence of the ability to read minds, they are all we really have to go by.

Also, with a MOE of 3.5%, that is +/-, ergo, the numbers for Trump could be that much better, just saying.
