Only when they're set by arsonists.

You say arsonists but.

Why Are Forest Fires Worsening?

Climate change is likely a major driver in increasing fire activity. Extreme heat waves are already 5 times more likely today than they were 150 years ago and are expected to become even more frequent as the planet continues to warm. Warmer temperatures dry out the landscape and help create the perfect environment for larger, more frequent forest fires. This in turn leads to higher emissions from forest fires, further exacerbating climate change and contributing to more fires as part of a fire-climate feedback loop.

But yeah believing gangs from a global cabal are starting fires is better than admitting big oil fooled your dumb ass.

Breaking News!!!!

The Canadian Covid and Climate commission just announced that flooding generally happens in years with higher rainfall!!!

:lmao:

So rainfall isn’t a yearly set amount and can change dramatically?

who knew….

Seems like you don’t and are desperate to finger yourself that climate change is causing fires

In all fairness though, your smoke is going to begin to fuck up my hay drying tomorrow.

:thumbdown2:

So that's not a normal thing to happen? I guess the OP is correct and we are in a drought year with record amounts of forest fires to prove it.

I remember years ago, late 90's?  I think it was smokey all growing season long.  Nobody cut corn here in the fall that was less than 28% moisture.  Most was 30-33%.

1980 was a very dry year and lots of forest fires here

it hasn’t since but logging really took off again so that helps too

And really dumb to.

Forest fires are not on the rise globally.  It's all one big lie to fool the sheep.

Forest fires are cyclical.  If they let forests grow old and we get into a dry spell there will be fires

doesnt change the fact that the trend is still down for a long time
