One is the Governor of a failing state and the other is a Governor of a Robust state. Either way we would end up with a governor which is better than anything the Senate has to offer.

Take a guess as to which party each belongs.  Pretty telling.

Do you really want to start measuring dicks between the economics of Florida and California?

Hmm. When I researched economies a few seconds ago, the sources said the same thing -- California has the biggest economy in the U.S.

Here's one sample:

"California is by far the biggest state economy in the U.S. at $2.9 trillion in real GDP—and when comparing its nominal value ($3.6 trillion) with national GDPs worldwide, the Golden State's GDP would rank 5th overall, just below Germany and Japan." -- visualcapitalist.com

Of course it is a huge state living off of century of growth and prosperity. But under Newsom the state has shrunk in almost every measure and we would be judging by the success of failure of his leadership not the past and by that Newsom looks awful.

Simply because people from kali, NY and IL all want to move there. It's property values are soaring.

Not true.  Again - you’re immersed in a right wing bubble devoid of reality.  Grievances and fear-mongering is what you hang your hat on.

More than half of all the homeless people in the US are living in California. I think you underestimate the news bubble you live in.
