what’s hard to comprehend is that the only one who actually had authority to possess them is the potus.  Hate trump fine, but what they’re doing is unprecedented, will make the country more divided, and worst of all, litigating it in the media just like you’re doing now.  Let’s let the lawyers make their arguments.  As I understand it, the Presidential Records Act is being ignored here and they’re bloviating this espionage nonsense abmbd hyping these potential jail sentences.  Completely absurd.  Nothing was sold, destroyed or compromised, and this is the precedent we want to set moving forward with presidents, we’re going down a dangerous road imo.

For fuck sakes dude, what the hell was Trump doing when he got all of his followers believing he was going to lock Hillary up? It's the same God dam thing, but because you hate Hillary you were ok with it. Both fucking parties need to change and get rid of the old dead wood.

he didn't hold the authority upon leaving office, neither did Biden or Pence.

there's people far more keenly aware of the laws, legalities and potential criminal behavior than you, I or a bunch of dipfucks on a snowmobile message forum.

otb, how can you, I or anyone else here be certain of that... by taking Trump's word for it?  

in my other thread, there's a good chance he could still face charges in New Jersey... for dissemination which is completely different than the possession charges in Florida.

Well ya, but if the information was important enough where they felt the need keep, either could have made copies to keep and returned what was requested and no one would know. This is what doesn't make sense, how do they know Biden didn't have copies already somewhere else when he willingly said they can have them (there is a reason they aren't suppose to leave the building)? Hillary had copies on her private server she wasn't suppose to have. The only difference is supposedly Trump was asked to return them and didn't. Nobody would know if Hillary had files if her server hadn't been hacked and when Anthony Weiner's computer was taken. How long did Biden have files that he shouldn't and just because he said they could have them when somebody stumbled across them doesn't mean he doesn't have copies stashed somewhere secure.
