Deephaven
Yay, let's replace worn out with another almost worn out for $6k. GREAT idea....if you are a moron. Rebuilt batteries are shit, a rebuilt motor can however be better than new.

The fixed it for $5k by going to an independent shop vs the manufacture. You can fix battery packs dumb dumb instead of replacing it. He didn’t pay 22k to fix a model S battery. Only paid $5k, it’s in the link. Derp. A few modules failed the battery didn't wear out. You can't be this dumb.

Deephaven
That is not a replacement and a very temporary fix. Also wasn't the question. You are blind as fuck.

You are blind as fuck. Don’t take offense to fixing a tesla battery for $5k vs $22k. It seems to wind you up a bunch by the fact that you don’t have to replace battery packs often and if you do it’s can be a rather inexpensive repair. also that a tesla model 3 is cheaper then a Camry in California. They are going to sell gobs of them sub $20k teslas. Don’t let that wind you up to hard either
Not greg b
For the build quality of what those things are, they should be cheaper than a camrey with out government subsidies

ZR6000RR
Tesla is facing a serious lawsuit over alleged software issues: ‘Tesla owners are at the mercy of the maker of their cars’ (msn.com) Makes them even worse than a Yugo to me.

X2700
Also without tax incentives wouldn’t prices of these Evs drop quicker because manufacturers would want to sell them?id think Tesla would be keeping prices inflated knowing government is supplementing sales? The state of MN will give you $2,500 in a tax credit to buy the vehicle and then turn around and charge you over $3k in sales tax and another $700 in registration fees on the purchase.
