Tesla Power Company brings the cheapest power to the poor people in South Australia.  Now these poor people don’t have to decide between buying Energy or buying Food thanks to Tesla Solar and Batteries

In 2020, Tesla had 1,000 Powerwalls on the network, and they were authorized for a new phase to add another 3,000 batteries.

Now Tesla has confirmed that it has deployed Powerwalls at 4,000 homes, and it has been authorized for a new phase of the project to add another 3,000 homes.

South Australia’s Department for Energy and Mining commented on the announcement:

The $33 million expansion, fully funded by Tesla, will make 3,000 more spots available for Housing SA tenants to join a program offering the cheapest residential electricity rate in South Australia. This expansion will save households up to $423 annually while also having battery backup and supporting our grid with renewable energy.

MELBOURNE, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has filed a lawsuit against Neoen SA (NEOEN.PA), saying the French firm's Tesla "Big Battery" in South Australia did not provide backup power during four months in 2019 for which it had received payment.

Neoen said it was disappointed with AER's decision. It did not comment on the actual allegations.

On-demand power from storage is critical for preventing blackouts in Australia which is increasingly dependent on wind and solar farms from which energy is not always available.

That is a fair amount for poor people.  No?

Go push your garbage elsewhere. Nothing is free in this world. What's cheap today will cost more tomorrow.

Trying to go to all renewable energy is the reason for the high energy costs in the first place.  The government is the one who caused this issue, just like they are doing here in the US.

Australia, and especially South Australia, has had a lot of power issues over the years as it retires aging infrastructure and tries to manage a high penetration of renewable energy, which destabilized energy markets due to the inconsistency of the power supply.

If you were given a $1.18/day raise in your pay, would you consider it a "fair amount "??

So you would be pissed if your electricity bill dropped by $1.18 a day???  What if you were poor and you were able to save $1.18 a day on your electric bill?
