More WINNING!

Having taken on the Keystone pipeline and America's struggling manufacturing sector in a flurry of executive actions on Tuesday, moments ago Reuters reported, citing several congressional aides and immigration experts briefed on the matter, that on Wednesday Donald Trump will sign several executive orders restricting immigration. The president is expected to sign the orders at the Washington headquarters of the Department of Homeland Security, whose responsibilities include immigration and border security.

Trump's orders are said to involve restricting access to the United States for refugees and some visa holders from seven mostly Muslim nations including Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Trump's restrictions on refugees are likely to include a multi-month ban on admissions from all countries until the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security can increase the intensity of the vetting process.

Additionally, as AP first reported and the NYT confirmed, among the executive orders will be Trump's announcement for plans to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, something Trump himself hinted at in an evening tweet.

the refugees won't be vetted anymore than they already are (which is a lot), trump will pretend to do more, the rwws will be cool with it.

Its a game slinger.   All he has to do is say we will let you in if you can be vetted better.   They already know there is no way to vet them better because these countries don't have or won't share anything on them.   Boom immigration ban done thru the back door.  :bc:

wrong. as was discussed many times prior, these refugees are vetted very well. why doesn't trump just come right out and say that if that is what you believe?

regarding the wall...

ever hear of tunnels? bribes? other borders....

the amount of illegals will not change as a result of the wall. but, trump will likely point to the already decreasing number of illegal bording crossing attempts, and take credit for it, you clowns will eat it up.

really,  a lot.  hard to really vet a lot when theres next to no information other than someones sad story.  Keep the refugees out they add no value to this country and present a security risk that we do not need.  Want to take in orphan children I can live with under a certain age before they have been indoctrinated.

well nothing is 100% safe. also take a look at our recent terror attacks. all home grown. this is yet another means to try and satisfy the dipshits of the country. I'm still waiting for highmark to tell us why trump won't come out and just say "no refugees, period". he thinks trump tells us how it is, so where is it then?

"The system (which exists) and how it works

The vetting begins with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugee, which determines who counts as a refugee, who should be resettled (about 1 percent) and which countries would take them. This alone can take four to 10 months.

If the UNHCR refers refugees to the United States, they then face scrutiny from federal intelligence and security agencies.

Their names, biographical information and fingerprints are run through federal terrorism and criminal databases. Meanwhile, the refugees are interviewed by Department of Homeland Security officials. If approved, they then undergo a medical screening, a match with sponsor agencies, "cultural orientation" classes and one final security clearance.

Syrian refugees in particular must clear one additional hurdle. Their documents are placed under extra scrutiny and cross-referenced with classified and unclassified information.

The process typically takes one to two years or longer and happens before a refuge ever steps onto American soil. Ultimately, says the State Department, about half are approved, and there’s no real precedent of a terrorist slipping in through the vetting system."
