DeSantis/Republican state. Say no more.

Like has already been mentioned, due to DeSantis's popularity, his state and him will now face the full brunt of the Democrats and their Democratic funded news media.

The numbers don't lie.   Yes there might be a slight uptick in the coming weeks and yes I'm sure the vaccine has saved lives but the rhetoric that is going on about Florida simply isn't right.

Not even mid terms yet. Wonder when/if his popularity will fizzle out?

Fire up that #meetoo movement again. Maybe a "Russian connection" or some secrete racist thing he supposedly said when he was 12 like the phrase "Ni$$er Pile"

Why not just post the aggregate data for Florida? According to your linked site, total 7 day average deaths in Aug 1st 2020 178, 7 day average deaths in Aug 1st 2021 58

1) is 58 deaths per day good? bad?

2) What changed year over year?

And it seems the sites data is wrong at the county and city level. They all miraculously went to zero 7 day average starting about June 10th. :news:

FL actually stopped reporting deaths at some point a couple months ago.  I have no idea where you will get numbers now.

From the Link.

The underlying data is available for download below the US county map and has helped government agencies like Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in its nationwide efforts.

1. 58 in a state of 21 million I consider pretty good especially considering how they are counted and the age of the population.

2. See previous posts.

You do know that over 400 people die every single day in Florida from just the top 10 causes?   A number of these causes are just as likely the reason for death as COVID.

If this is what you're referring to, they're still reporting.

"Florida stops reporting COVID-19 cases, deaths in daily reports. Department of Health shifts to weekly reports beginning June 4"

Ok - the information you posted that started this thread at the county/city level is incorrect. 0+0+0 doesn't add up to 58 seven day average.

Correct....Obviously that is inaccurate but I stand by it being low.   Also from the website.

I added an edit to the original post.

This interactive feature aggregates data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state- and local-level public health agencies. County-level data is confirmed by referencing state and local agencies directly. Cases, deaths, and per capita adjustments reflect cumulative totals since January 22, 2020.

For most states, USAFacts directly collects the daily county-level cumulative totals of positive cases and deaths from a table, dashboard, or PDF on the state public health website. This data is compiled either through scraping or manual entry.
