1,9,20....had all three  in the top 10 but Bowyer  blistered his 3rd right rear of the day and had to pit with 13 laps to go.

Shit. I didnt see much today but he was in the top 10 during the last round of pit stops.

Yep...Atlanta is tough on tires. Don't forget that Martinsville is Wednesday night.

I see Amirola performed as I expected. :pan:

Since it is already all hosed up for the season, the first race back with fans should be Friday night under the lights at Bowman-Gray.

4 to 6 heats.

Top 3-4 cars qualify.

2 b-mains with a few more transfers.

Non-qualifiers race with the choice of cash or start last in the main.

100 lap feature.

Or something like that.

Stands would be packed and the ratings on the tele would be the best of the year.

Dibennedetto having a good run.

Blaney is running better than 4th. He probably would have won if not for that pit road fuck up.

I'm not sure that it died but it sure did change the atmosphere around the sport.

Had he stayed around for another 10 years would Nascar be in a different place than it is now?

That's a good question and I wonder about that....IMO it would be in a better place as his influence would have carried over to the management  side once his driving career was over.

Agreed. He had the ear of Nascar and would have continued to do so.  I also think his fans would have transitioned over to his race teams and drivers more.  With the Bitch running the show it ruined the fan support of DEI.
