That had a pretty interesting article in Naty G  last month about hornets invading Bee hives.   The only defense the bees have against invaders is swarming them, holding them down, and moving their bodies violently to creates so much heat that it causes the invader to die.

I read that too. Japanese honey bees have that adaptation from centuries of being molested by these pukes. Maybe they can bring over a Japanese queen for some education. Who knows, that might create more problems.

old fucking news. they have been spotted on the west coast (b.c. and washington) for the last couple years. but with this fucking flu looking to be contained, the press brings another boogey man into play.  i hope hives of the fuckers roost in newspaper and tv stations

Check out Plum Island research center. No links handy - but a ton of info out there on it. Some is pretty good reading.

I fish right by there. Great Blue Fish, Striper and Flounder area. I keep my boat in Noank, Ct (Top Right), Plum (Bottom Left) is 10 minute ride.image.png.410fa2900a3dfdaf884d074b47372675.png
