Discouraging Numbers

I was just surprised to see the number go down.  All we've been hearing is how its going up exponentially.  This goes against that.

Several variables here. Biggest being accurate reporting. There’s also plateaus in infection rates. Look for trends. Single or two day reports are meaningless when trying to determine course of the disease.

The nursing home here had originally 3 tested positive. It's turned into a nightmare there with 9 dead sofar and a huge increase of people that tested positive. Sofar it's the worst in the province.

Seen that. Half the staff positive is not good. :(

The area has a huge population of seniors/cottagers and without a complete shutdown it"ll be widespread before we know it. I don't think the right protocols were in place right off the hop and there was too much movement around

Yep it's spreading outside of the urban areas fairly quickly.

There were thousands out on the boardwalk in the beaches like nothing was going on. Stay the fuck home isn't registering with alot of people.

I wonder if someone that is more gravely effected is more contagious than someone who isn’t.

I have wondered that too, from the very beginning.  My guess is probably not based on how easily the contagion has moved across the country.  As a percentage, not that many people require hospitalization.  If the really sick were more contagious I think the spread would be slower.

Just my observation of course.
