next year there will not be a single sponsor but 4 they can not even get a single company to carry the fuking sponsorship.in 08 when brian had put them on the road to oblivion they blamed the sponsorship problem on the economy. as far as toyota if they had not stepped up nascar would have died before now.I  have raced and been a fan since the heydays of the 60s.but the last 10 years I tape the races and fast forward through the commercials and as to the commentators after the professor died even the new ones I turn down the  steve retard and burton are sickening to listen to.junior should never have joined them he was getting sqeaky voiced to.

Every racing organization seems to eventually screw itself.

Pretty much.

IMCA has done a pretty good job keeping their shit together though, IMO.

NASCAR needs to move to a Trans-Am styled (think Aussie V8 Supercars) car.

Then they need to ax the bore tracks and bring back a more "short track" feel to the show.

Ditch the charter bullshit.

Run short qualifier races and send it in the big show.

Perfect example.  No one can figure out what causes the problems though.

The series, the car owners, the sponsors, the drivers, the crew - all responsible.

Example.  A few years ago, we could run a 8900 rpm chip in our ignition system for modifieds.  Everyone else had to run a 8500 rpm chip, including late models.

Guess what ran better at 8900rpm then the 8500rpm?  The tech director's kid's Roush Yates motors in their modified.

Even during the season at Stafford speedway, if there isn't a special show the stands are somewhat empty

"Specials" aren't very special anymore, for the most part.  I could run 3 or 4 "specials" a weekt May-October if we wanted to put in the windshield time.  Hell, some tracks have specials every other week.

Admittedly Nascar has changed but all motorsports have...you need marketable clean cut drivers to attract sponsors.

That is a problem in all sports and competition for dollars is intense...it would be worse in NASCAR if it weren't for guys like William Byron, Keselowski, etc....Shrub is the outlier with his attitude but they still play up his wife and son and the whole family angle.
