Congressional Democrats have nothing to show for their two years in control of the House of Representatives, so they must rally around the impeachment inquiry instead

Congressional Democrats have nothing to show for their two years in control of the House of Representatives, so they must rally around the impeachment inquiry instead, according to Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.

Democrats have failed to produce any substantive legislation from their time in the majority, Gaetz claimed in an interview airing Sunday on "Life, Liberty & Levin."

"What would the Democrats use to galvanize their movement if not impeachment?" the congressman asked. "Would Democrats be able to point to their infrastructure plan? Would they be able to point to sound policy on trade? Of course not. They haven't done anything. And so this is the cop-out for the lack of an agenda that impacts the lives of the American people."

I have no idea and frankly doing nothing is better than them doing anything and that goes for both sides. Trump was going to reduce spending and cut the deficit...how is that going?

Gaetz is a POS drunk driving entitled politician who rode into office using  his fathers political connections in Florida. There is also some question of how his college roommate died...homicide was considered but lo and behold it became suicide.

HEY PETE WHY IS THAT?

250 House-passed bills are in Mitch McConnell's "legislative graveyard"

In an interview with Mike Allen for "Axios on HBO," Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) lamented that more than 250 bills passed by Democrats in the House are sitting in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's "legislative graveyard."

The big picture: McConnell has called himself the "grim reaper" of progressive policies in the Senate. His campaign has also tweeted a photo of a graveyard with Democratic efforts marked on the headstones, including the name of McConnell's Democratic competitor Amy McGrath.

  • Since taking back control of the House in 2018, Democrats have argued that their policies have been given unfair play in the Senate, often going without committee assignments.

What they're saying: Questioned by Allen about the perception that House Democrats are spending too much time on impeachment and not enough on legislating, Jeffries pushed back:

"The president and his defenders here on the Capitol are doing everything possible to create the false perception that House Democrats are doing nothing other than investigate the President. Nothing can be further from the truth. We have passed more than 250 bills this Congress and sent them over to the Senate, where unfortunately they're sitting in Mitch McConnell's legislative graveyard."
— Jeffries told "Axios on HBO"

So anyone who supports the president is their personal lap dog.   You did the same thing with Levin.  No comments, just a few insults and a wave of your hand.  Top notch debate skills there.  No wonder you’re so lost.

Dems are really "reaching across the isle" here, eh?  They aren't negotiating shit and they aren't really in charge.  They should all just sit on their own floor.  So should you.

:lol2: Nothing could be further from the truth?

It is literally talked about on the news six days  until Sunday and then 100 times more on Sunday.

EDIT:  have you ever in three 3 years posted one article touting the benefits of what DEms are doing besides anti trump propaganda?

What is their to debate Mark? You post clips of Levin ripping Democrats and touting the fact that he is a Constitutional Scholar and now Gaetz who is obviously Trumps lackey and he is ripping Dems...I’m not lost and there is no debating with a partisan hack...we covered this yesterday when you dismissed Obama’s bonafides as Constitional Scholar.

BTW when you say I’m lost because I don’t march in lockstep with Trump says a lot about you...not me.
