It’ll only make a whirling grinding noise for the first 120 seconds. And then occasionally there after.
Guest
I fix shit like this quite often, but I have welding/cutting equipment. Options: 1. Order a new piece on-line 2. Order the piece from a local dealer 3. Cut a piece of sheet metal and use small sheet metal screws to screw it in. If the screws protrude too far, snip the ends off with cutting pliers. EASY PEASY. I'm surprised we were able to wear thru like that.
hayward
This looks just like the bottom of a boat after it falls off the trailer and slides along on the pavement. I mean thats what I was told anyway.......

Screw it together to hold it tight and take em back out when it's all melted together around the outside. I've heard of guys fixing plastic liquid holding tanks before with a process they call plastic weld but have no idea what it's about. Platinum Contributing Member Rigid1 Posted June 7, 2019 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted June 7, 2019 @Kivalo, the wear plates I have are probably too big, at least 24". But if you know someone who works with metal this is what you want to do to try and fix your vacuum housing.. I do have a entire vacuum housing sitting here I could let go on the cheap. But you would have to come check it out, see if we could make it work for you. All steel, serviceable bearing..it's a stout piece..
hayward
I can tell by the looks of the pillow block bearing and size of the propeller shaft that that's no cheese-dick of a blower unit. Somehow gotta make that work.
