You're a homosexual nobody buys anything from Faggots

  • The question should be what benefit do they provide this country? I find it funny that people are very accepting of paying higher costs that have negligible benefit in order to "be green". B

Sure, I've even seen Mr. Woodman speak.  :bc:

So where are they moving US bound GoPro camera manufacturing to?

So the tariffs are chasing mfgs from China to a host of other southeast Asia countries that don't have "level the playing field" tariffs imposed on them.

Is that a win?

Why should we let countless other markets tariff our good while they are free to export to us with impunity??

Use your fucking meager intellect and come up with something Neal....anything?

Most manufactures have started the process of moving out of China.  Much has been completed the move so not to be tariffs. Experts say it will take all business about 2 year or less to move all products subject to tariffs out of China.

Now you are changing your narrative. No one said, in this thread, they were moving to the US. They are moving to countries with better trade relations with us. :bc:

I'm not changing anything, I'm asking questions to gather information, I never said, nor implied they were moving to the US.

So Vietnam has better trade relations with us?

Moe's earlier answer applies, the market dictates it.

It was a question.

How does moving them to Vietnam (as an example) improve the playing field?  Will they not cost more?

So what if they do?

Again, are you entitled to cheap shit from China?

There is a possibility but production moved out of China to Europe.

No one said or implied that, what does punishing the consumer accomplish?

How so?  The widget costs more and puts a strain on consumers.  Is that what leveling is about?

Neal

moving production from China to Vietnam, or Indonesia, or any other south pacific nation for that matter doesn't change the issue at the core of all this - products can be made much much cheaper there than they can in NA.
