On the news yesterday about the people who bought new houses that hadn't been built yet on the premise of selling their current houses. Now the new houses are nearing completion, they're locked in at the original purchase price, selling their house would be at a lower price and the new mortgage rules are such they don't qualify for the much higher mortgage they need to make up the shortfall. Like almost everything Wynnebag and her cronies do... not well thought out.

Only reason for the change in prices is the government meddling in a free market. Forecast is that the decline in prices is temporary according to the real estate board. They expect to see it heat up again. Apparently it's the detached homes that have been hit. Condos are still going up since they are more affordable in the first place. Some of them who were living at poverty levels since medical insurance wasn't enough to cover their ongoing expenses or when they changed jobs had problems due to a pre-existing condition. All pussies carry guns on them. I grew up, lived in and work in the murder capital of the us. I have never carried a gun and I don't keep one in my house that I could effectively use for home defense. And I have never needed one. Health insurance in the US is only good if your employer or someone else is paying for it. Best health care money can buy and the most expensive and the least healthiest population in the world. For example I was in freedom with low taxes ckf with similar value property was twice as much. Less kids for sure helps town like Hales location with close to no kids at all in the systems about as cheap as it comes. I was lazy and also left out the second part. Waterfront props are expensive so take a town like wolfboro , under $10 per, but many high value props so even at under 10 they are still generating money. But look at poor towns and taxes are gross , Pittsfield for example.

Platinum Contributing Member steve from amherst Posted April 8, 2018 Platinum Contributing Member Share Posted April 8, 2018 Not as much as I would like. Have friends in Groton , topsham area and my nephew lives in colechester. I don't like helmet laws but VT is probably the prettiest state east of the rockies. So I do like riding there. Agreed that Wynne is a stupid and corrupt bitch. Why the fuck did the cons take a chance on Trump lite? revkevsdi
Buddy of mine just sold his rental place. He was asking 460 and it sold at 500 in a week no conditions. It was a rental property but it was really nice. Legal basement walk out. We put in new kitchen cupboards insulated between floors etc. He knew what he was doing all the electrical and plumbing were done right but since there was no inspection none of that mattered. Plus it was really small. 1,100 square feet upstairs, no garage. Can’t imagine paying that much for something that small.
