I attack Islam, an ideal, you and your ilk call me a bigoted racist.  Ignorance of one's own ignorance is fun to watch.

Great point.  Moto thinks the world can be described with "killer memes".

To flourish as a society we need a blend of capitalism and socialism.  Our balance is fairly close at present.

Lol, largest concentration of wealth in the 1% in history and you say it's a 'fairly close' balance.

Omfg.

Your privilege is showing...

This is what their perception is, and what they want it to be. My question is what are they doing about it? Get some new skills. Start a company. Sit on the couch and eat another bag of Doritos.

We can tap that down, but the 1% are hard to be seen as so evil when the bottom 99% have such a high standard of living.

Most everyone on the planet is privileged, other than some in Asia and Africa.  Your ignorance is showing...

That was my point.

Describing it as 'fairly balanced' when, for example, we produce enough food for 10 billion but we only feed about 4 billion.

There's a perverse economic incentive to do that. It's structural to the system. Capitalism relies upon this phenomenon to extract maximum value from the product.

And that capitalistic drive must be there to feed the world.  Our society is such that we need financial motivation to feed those with whom we do not interact.

Right, so there's a financial incentive to not feed people and instead throw food away. It creates scarcity when there really is abundance.
