Here are my two sneaky neighbor dogs. Both from shelters. The husky was 2ish when we got her as a discounted dog from the Edmonton humane society as she was a typical female (lots of problems lol). That was a long couple of years. She almost went back a few times when we first got her. Glad we hung on. She still has some flaws so she doesn't get much off leash time lol but at 7ish years old, she is starting to slow down. The sheperd we got from a shelter 6 hours north by Peace River at 8ish weeks old now he will be 4 here in a couple of months. He was a part of an abandoned litter. We were hoping he would compliment the husky and at 11lbs when we got him, the husky let him maul her lol. Unfortunately for her, has he reached a year and a half he was pushing 100lbs and she is only 65lbs. Wasn't so fun for her after that lol. When the husky passes, my other half will be in a world of sadness. When the sheperd passes, I will be on a watch list lol.

The average person in the us cannot legally buy full auto with out having some sort of license, as far as I know. In Canada, Full autos have been banned for civilian ownership since 1977. On top of that, .223/5.56 is illegal to hunt deer with in Canada as it seemed not a powerful enough round to ethically kill them. North America has education, economic, low information voter, lying authorities, and all around inability to to see something from an objective point of view problem.

By law you are not allowed to own a firearm for self-defense in Canada. That does not mean you cannot use one for self-defense under strenuating circumstances. 99.9% of the time if you kill anyone using a gun or not, doesn't matter if it's a clear cut and dry self defense case or not, you will most likely be charged and have to defend yourself in court. You are also allowed to carry a non-restricted firearm (most rifles and shotguns) in wilderness areas for self protection. But you cannot carry them in National or provincial parks. Every single handgun in Canada is it considered a restricted weapon and the only places you can take them are the gun range, gun shop for work, or a place that turned them in. Also in the handgun and all restricted firearm realm, if I wanted to go to the gun range with my handgun I would have to take the most reasonably direct route from my house to the gun range. If I stopped for drive through coffee along the way and they pulled me over and found out I had my restricted weapon even though it was trigger locked unloaded in an opaque case that was also locked out of sight in my car it is a huge problem as that is not the most direct route to the gun range or my house. When applying for your firearms license and or renewing your firearms license there is no option for self defense. In Canada the only legal reasons to own firearms is to collect, hunt or shooting sports. You can't even own a handgun in Canada if you aren't a member of a shooting club (except Ontario although they will eventually hassle you). I have recently purchased three handguns and I had to provide info of club that I'm a good standing member in before the government would even allow my transfer to take place

I am going to be motorcycle camping in grizzly country at the end of the month. I really wish I was able to carry more than a long rifle. I don't have room for my rifle on my bike and people will loose their shit if they saw me hiking carrying it. A hand gun could be carried in away to not alarm people but still be more protection than aggressive pepper spray. There needs to be 1000% more unbiased education and for the people who do own, training. Unfortunately not everyone can afford training. So does training become government regulated pricing? Who puts on the the training? Competitive shooters, police trainers, military trainers? What I do know if if people keeping blaming the object and not the root causes (low income, mental instability, poor parenting, little to no education), things will never change. Like here in Canada we don't have the right to bear arms. So if they really wanted to make it about saving lives they'd ban every single firearm and walk through every single house and confiscate every single firearm. But if they removed 100% of the firearms, what would the grand stand about during their campaigns?

Depends, kind of. If it is a non restricted firearm most rifles and shotguns with at least an 18 1/2" or longer barrel you can go buy and bring home or buy online and do it all right away as long as you are licensed. When it comes to restricted firearms like all handguns and shorter barrel rifles and some shotguns, there's usually a waiting period to get a registration paper for it due to government bureaucracy. So because a person is licensed to own and buy a restricted firearm they can sometimes bring that firearm home but they can't take it out of their house without the registration papers coming in the mail from the government. Some of this has now changed as the government has brought in new laws regarding getting a transfer number when people buy non-restricted firearms that was never required before. You have to get a transaction ID number online through the government website to buy non-restricted firearms now. This law just came out last week. This isn't a waiting period and you could have a number right away providing there isn't issues with the internet server or internet connection

We bought a bird feeder less than two months ago. For the last two weeks the seed out of it has been disappearing every day. Basically a liter of bird seed a day. We were like what the fuck lol. I was blaming a squirrel that I have seen at the feeder. The wife was blaming the decent sized group of red wing black birds we have at the feeder every day. Well last night while watching a movie I caught a visitor to the feeder and he seemed a little hungry lmao

I am wondering if NA is more enthusiastic about war than Europe because NA hasn't been in the middle of an international war where nobody is spared destruction. In both world wars, it really didn't matter if you were neutral or not, chances were you were going to get caught in the crossfire. So all those countries know what it is like to have entire cities absolutely leveled. Over here in NA we have the best natural defenses anyone could ask for. We as population have never experienced boots on the ground war in our homes. I am not saying we are dumb or we don't have empathy or we don't understand what war is. What I am saying is we have been so far removed from real conflict while remaining on top of the world power shit pile. It is hard for us to have real perspective of what it is like. Obviously this doesn't this doesn't apply to every single person who lives in North America but well informed, leveled headed individuals rarely make policy.

Lol, I agree with you there. I can't stand most new music from any genre. There are a few select tracks I can get behind but most of newly produced mainstream music is a sad state of affairs lol

I wasn't aware he was a song writer as well. With a little looking it would appear that he also uses professional songwriters to write some of his songs as well as writing some of his own. I grew up on country music (against my will). As much as I dislike it, I can appreciate the older stuff. This new stuff is just trash. 95% don't write their own music, they are just a voice talent. But that is my heavily biased opinion which means nothing lol.

It is hard for me to answer that. I am 3500 kms from Ottawa. I don't see the issues that are going on. There is lots of hate for the guy but too many people are on government handouts to make a real difference
