First, always tell anyone you know to get any so called issues in writing, clearly explaining exactly what they supposedly have found, and what the total cost will be. Also, get a second opinion from another quality garage. If they confirm the very same problem, and the cost is major, take it somewhere and trade it in. Unfortunately, a lot of people, especially females get scammed bigtime on false fake made up problems that don,t exist, and are a very minor problem instead. I could write a book on how many garages and car dealers have tried to scam family and friends. Definitely, do not believe the first diagnosis, especially if it is verbal. Get it in writing.

Take the time, go see it, bring an extra driver, and drive it home. They are very rare, so if that is what you really want, make time and get it while it is available. I,m guessing you could buy it for 20K.

Before he starts into the drive, throw another known good prop on it, even if he has a spare, to make 100 % sure it isn,t a prop problem. There might be a slim chance the guy that balanced the prop fukked up. Costs nothing, but a bit of time to be sure.
