  1. What neck of the woods are you again, Reeve? Glad to see some decent amounts of snow on the ground.

    Info only

Exactly!! Just like there are other knockoffs of high end clothing, electronics, etc, the same holds true for these things as well. I've read stories about oil filters and other car parts that are also knockoffs that have caused people problems. Like the old saying, if it's too good to be true......................

  5. Same here, but at least the trails I ride, when we have snow, are only 20 minutes away. Nothing, however, would beat being able to ride right out of your garage! That would be sweet for sure!
  6. Wow!! What happened to boy blunder? Did he finally see the light, did the beard add maturity and wisdom or does he now realize under a minority gov't, that he barely won, that he needed to smarten up a whole bunch? Nah, not likely any of those things but it's reassuring, somewhat, that at least someone in his party has half a brain and was capable of convincing Trudope to change his ignorant stance. As he announced compensation for families who lost loved ones in the shooting-down of Flight 752, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau changed his stance once again and put blame squarely and solely on the Iranian regime. https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-trudeau-blames-iran-not-trump-and-offers-compensation-to-families
  7. I sure hope so!!! Personally, I have never seen our country so divided and so messed up. It could be the ultimate plan of the liberals to eliminate strength in numbers or it could simply be their incompetence that is doing it, but I certainly don't like the way we are headed.
  8. I was wondering if this was new or old news? Like I previously stated, none of this is shown on Canadian news sites and when I tried to verify it through Google, not one CDN news network/media source, that I could find, was covering it. It's too bad were so easy going/laid back up here as this needs to be seen and action up here is also needed. I'm still pissed Trudope got back in but at least it is a minority Gov't which at least slowed Trudope from destroying Canada further. Anything I have read/seen shows Trudope and Macron as being close friends, which, as only one could assume, they likely also share the same ideology.
  9. Just seen this from a link Highmark posted earlier. Isn't Macron friends with Trudeau? Is this a continuation from the yellow vest protests that we heard of last year but didn't see on our CDN news networks? The comments to the right are interesting.
  10. She's out to give AOC a run for her money!! My god, just when you think people and politics couldn't get anymore stupid.............And Bernie loves and endorses her..
  11. Lots of wind with it which means it will be blown all over the place instead of being laid down like we need. https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?on11#2009148401699908559202001160503ws1171cwto
  12. No, I will admit, I can't take the cold like I use to so that definitely has something to do with it.
  13. My zipper is covered by a magnetic flap that works fairly decent, imo. I run my e shield cord under it and it still stays closed. It's a strange one for sure and I thought once I got my Tek Vest, my problem would disappear but it hasn't.
  14. Sam Kinison shouldn't be forgotten either! That guy took things to a whole new level and broke new ground as well. Left us way too soon, unfortunately.
  15. Yeah, I got that but was curious what your thoughts were of wearing something similar/same underneath a jacket? Like I mentioned, I assume that would likely cause me to get too hot then sweat? I haven't tried the Merino wool clothing from MWWH but have used, the past few years, their Dri-Wear stuff with decent results. The last few years, although nothing has been real cold out during that time, I've just stuck with just the Dri -wear, a thin turtleneck then a heavier sweater and it has worked out fairly well. When I bought my FXR suit I honestly thought being cold would be a thing of the past dressing normally underneath it but that wasn't the case. My legs are never cold but they are never in the wind like my chest is. I could never figure out how those with the real small windshields never got cold but yet I did wearing the same gear?
  16. Just seen that as well. Fingers crossed and fingers crossed that it stays and we get more.
  17. For sure it does. I was trying to remember the story and who told me and, IIRC, it might have been park/resort owners who put buckets of water inside RV's while the snowbirds weren't there? That makes more sense to me and likely what I was told.
  18. You're a regular legend in your own mind, aren't you! Dunning-Kruger Effect: Why People Think They’re Smart Even When They’re Not The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Essentially, low ability people do not possess the skills needed to recognize their own incompetence. The combination of poor self-awareness and low cognitive ability leads them to overestimate their own capabilities
  19. We got a dusting. Seen some pics on FB from the Haliburton SC and they showed lots of standing water/puddles/mud when they were out grooming. We need cold before any snow or a ton of snow to pack it down/soak it up but I don't think neither are suppose to happen anytime soon? I decided to install my son's new brakes on his XLT yesterday. I purchased them before Christmas along with my new battery for my Vector but the incentive to get things done, sled wise, just wasn't there.
  20. Tom, what's it like where you are now vacationing/enjoying your retirement? I heard years ago that people have to place buckets of water inside RV's, etc, to help put moisture into the air as to stop wood and other things from drying out/splitting due to the lack of humidity in the air. I assume that is true but then again, I am not 100% on that?
  21. I keep hearing about snow on Saturday but I don't hear if we are suppose to get 1 cm or 30? https://weather.gc.ca/city/pages/on-149_metric_e.html
  22. I have actually thought about getting a windbreaker jacket to wear underneath my coat to help block the wind but I'm afraid it will make me too hot? Like I mentioned earlier, I've tried a bunch of things and have it now where it is a lot less cold than what it use to be but on some fairly cold days, I still feel it in my chest. It's frustrating as my everyday coat that my wife paid $60 dollars for at Sears some years ago provides better wind protection than what my much more expensive FXR jacket does.
