I got a 87 notch and I’ve had 10 or so fox cars over the years. I love the fox mustang cheap(well use to be), light, cheap to mod, easy to work on. Not sure if I agree they need a engine swap to be good I’d take a stroked 351 over a coyote any day. I think those that don’t like them probably have only ever seen there tail lights.

That is the biggest factor for me is price I got 2 small kids so I rarely get to go north anymore or ride in general. I don’t want 13-15k tied up in the sled I really want to only use a handful of times a year. 78 is plenty fast for southern nh might fall behind on northern trips with my buds on turbos but whatever it’s new hopefully no hassle just turn key and ride. Ride this until my kids can ride on trails, buy myself my dream sled and hand this down to the wife. 7,349 is a hell of a deal for a new fuel injected sled. I’m interested in your assessment of the sled also I’m really considering spring checking one like yours. I want something new sick of dealing with used junk. The price of this is what has me seriously thinking of getting one.

Not really a sled but a sled motor. Every single triple ski doo I’ve ever owned has blown up on me. One I bought and the motor blew idling in my yard the day I got it...rebuilt that one ran mint after. Another one I blew up on the lake. Just this weekend the crank bearings went one the Mach 1 I bought to get back on a sled this winter after taking a year off. Should have learned my lesson from the last 2. I must have some triple engine curse or something they seem to all blow up on me. I posted it yesterday and sold the thing in less than 4hrs so that was a plus but now I’m sledless again.

I restored my old 96 f150 short bed 5.0 4x4 few years back. Completely stripped to the frame tracked down bunch of rust free parts painted it highland green like the 67 bullitt mustang Steve McQueen drove. Sold it after my second kid was born 2yrs ago. I wish I kept it.

I use a razor blade window scraper to clean our glass top oven lol. Works great takes few seconds.

You may be correct and I could be wrong I work on a bunch of cars I can’t remember lol. I’m almost certain though that the doors are steel. I did a skin on one a few months back but I can’t remember the year I thought it was the new style though.

Ram still has steel doors and fenders I believe unless it changed for 21. Toyota is the only one that’s still all steel far as I know. Not sure about Nissan.

The current gm trucks have aluminum hood, fenders, doors, and tail gate basically anything that bolts to it. The actual cab and bed are still steel.

I don’t know if it’s higher to insure but it definitely cost a lot more to repair. I know there is only a handful of shops in NH that are actually certified to repair aluminum. My work has the equipment to do it and I’m Icar certified in aluminum repair and welding but we usually send any bigger aluminum hits down the road to the ford dealer body shop to get done.

Seems high but it’s possibly if maybe they swapped the frame maybe. Also don’t know what rates are in your area. Replace entire bed and bumper assembly no way maybe 8-10k around here 17k sure if doing a frame on top of bed/bumper

I love my fords but I wouldn’t buy a new one or a Chevy. I’d buy a tundra. Aluminum body is nice idea but the cost to repair is insane. The cost is so high because you need a special 25k welder, 10k rivet gun, all separate aluminum only tools, and even a completely separate room to even repair aluminum correctly. Aluminum rips and cracks stupid easy and depending where the rip is you can’t even fix you’d have to replace a entire panel. So for that reason alone I wouldn’t buy one. I don’t care for Chevy I’d rather a dodge even though they have the most issues I’d say out of the big 3.

Thanks I looked around and couldn’t find nothing. 429# doesn’t seem very light to me for a small engine 3/4 size sled. My old renegade xp carb was I believe 450# and the assaults are in that range too I believe. I would have thought it be sub 400. Oh well good to know either way.

It’s pretty pathetic on cats part they can’t even put the blast weight on the spec sheets on there site. What are they trying to hide? It’s really not that light? Only thing I can find is power plant under 50lbs. Cat site show blast weight as blank just empty space, Yamaha site shows venom weight as “standard” wtf does that mean. Go to any Polaris or ski doo on there site it shows the weight for every sled.
