  1. Wut? Are you saying the 998T's are being manufactured by Arcto?
  2. 600's are few and far between in the mountain segment.
  3. Maybe try reputable news sources instead of green propoganda sites. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/alberta/orphan-wells-left-behind-in-albertas-oilslump/article29301010/ There are some issues with loopholes in bankruptcy laws, but in general, there is a system in place to oversee that wells are remediated by the oil companies. Plus there is also the industry funded Orphan Well Association as a back stop.
  4. Lol. Racing's more fun with a little drama.
  5. You cheatin again? I remember reading a few years back about someone wanting to collect your chicklets after a race.
  6. Weren't you on a Yamaha vector or some such thing because of it's reliability, then to a Cat now a first year motor from Polaris? You are really throwing it out there now...
  7. Did someone park an Artco C-tech too close?
  8. That's about the polar opposite of a sno pro 500.
  9. No, it's a little cock-eyed still. It twisted pretty close to straight after I bolted it back on. My OCD wanted to go buy a new one but my cheap bastard won out after I priced it out at $250. Maybe I'll get a new one next fall after I have forgot about what I spent on all the other parts.
  10. I have a few welder buddies who are infinitely better than me, not to mention have the right equipment. One came over the other night and we patched up my busted bumper. He has a sweet little ESAB Mig he brought over.
  11. Are you on dirt or gravel all the time? Haven't see that problem come up with any of our fleet, yet. You did remind me I need to go pick up a new gas cap for my wife's Caravan though.
  12. My 17 has it, so did my 2010. Neither ever gave me any trouble. They are kind of nice actually.
  13. The single piston ring design gave skeedoo all kinds of issues early on. They call the new crank lightweight, but I read it was 3 lbs heavier than the 800HO. Not saying that's a bad thing, but there is a lot of marketing jargon going on in the articles. I hope it's a ripper because it would likely be the next motor I buy, but I'd be nervous jumping on that ship first year. Extended warranty is fine but it doesn't help if the thing gives you problems all the time.
  14. They simply don't have the desire to. Yamaha bean counters know how small the sled market is and don't see an acceptable return on investment. I was a Yammie guy through and through and I hate it, but that is the way it is. This lineup is just their next step in exiting the industry.
  15. No kidding. Pol clutches live just fine in mountain applications that get the shit tortured out of them all the time. Leave it to Bhen.
  16. Natural resource reserves are a moving target anyway. New discoveries and technologies change it all the time. We really don't know what there is for resources in the arctic. One thing for sure is Canada has 1/10th of the US population to spread the natural resource wealth around.
  17. All that tailgate mechanism is going to get filled with dirt after the first time you drive it down a gravel road. Probably makes the tailgate weigh 500 lbs too. I doubt very many Denali's ever make it off the pavement, never mind a work site, so it probably doesn't matter.
  18. Yeah, I'm good to go. Just waiting for my welder buddy to come and make my bumper one piece again.
  19. Going to do one at 2000 miles. That’s if the rest of the sled survives until then.
  20. Lots of sleds are on their side or upside down on a regular basis. I put a skee-dooo oil cap on my Pro because it has a better vent design that doesn't get bunged up with oil. Polaris has sold a redonkulous number of mountain sleds since they introduced the Pro in 2011. Shitty motors and all. The old 800 has been fairly decent after 2013 - 14. The newest version has been even better.
  21. It's not the 80's any more. Any company or more than a handful people have to operate with a safety program that require operators to have certification to operate whatever piece of equipment they are on.
