Let me get this straight - Trump is a "threat to democracy" but Harris being appointed as the Democrat POTUS nominee isn't?  If that isn't a WTF moment, I don't know what is.  People are being force-fed the hyena without casting a vote for any other candidate.  Dems can bitch about MAGA all they want, but talk about a flock of fools (Democrats accepting and promoting her as the candidate).

She's not being appointed. There will still be a convention, and if someone else steps forward to run they have that chance.

There is also the part about the whole election thing. 

If the people chose to see her for the vacuous twat she is, she will be nothing come the end of the year.

That last part is the tricky bit and why you have Joe now. 

All that is likely to matter is the R or the D on the ballot, never more so than this coming election

There’s nothing in the constitution about how parties nominate candidates, so it’s equivalence to a ‘threat to democracy’ when the framework of our democracy states nothing about it is a stretch. A threat to democrats chances this fall? Absolutely. They could nominate someone unpopular to their base, which I think Kamala will be. The primary process is relatively new in our countries history and was done so to be more open about the nomination process, but organizing a snap primary process in less than three weeks before the DNC is not plausible. So what are they to do?
 

I think Kamala’s probably the worst choice they could nominate and will come back to bite this fall via the ballot box.
