Harley’s haven’t ever really been a young person purchases.  As boomers die off gen x isn’t flocking to Harley’s as gen xers really aren’t into motorcycles as a hobby like boomers were.

If Harley was smart they’d get into the high end EV bike market to compete with the Surron or Talaria.

They do have their adventure bike. It’s received some success. Awfully big and heavy though. I think they’d need to create a new division for EV bikes. Harley has a reputation for being slow and low tech. That doesn’t resonate with the younger people.

You couldn't be more wrong. People have moved on from bikes and into the sxs market. Many states allow them to be street legal.

it's not a bad bike. but where HD is going wrong (again) is not being like KTM, triumph, bmw, and the jappers by having a small inexpensive bike for the younger folks to purchase. first bikes (if reliable) build brand loyalty. but the stupid squarehead in charge and all the shareholders want 20-50K bikes to make huge profits from. HD's days are numbered.

They have nothing to compete with the Surron. That is the fastest growing segment.

Segway

To-days kids are to limp wristed to even hold up a bike of any kind, let alone a harley.

They have zero interest in even getting a drivers licence for a car or a truck, let alone struggling to get a  motorcycle licence.

Harleys have always sucked.
